Tonearm Cables
We supply a replacement tonearm cables designed to enhance the performance of primarily the SME range of tonearms.
It is produced by the Oyaide Electric PA-2075 and is an excellent sounding cable at a very sensible price. It is manufactured from UPCOCC "Ultra Pure Continous Cast Copper", probably the purest copper cable available for audio usage. It has virtually no impurities so it gives a clean uncoloured sound quality with all the warmth and detail that only the very best hi-end cables can produce.
It is a coaxial cable with a parallel layout which is compact and light in weight to reduce conductor resistance making it ideal for transmitting all of the information provided by the low moving coil signal. The UPCOCC conductor is multi-stranded of 0.5 sq. mm construction and with very few impurities it ensures very low levels of signal disturbance.
Its semi-conductor is carbon PVC to eliminate static electricity without having any influence at all on the conductors.
Insulation is provided by a high polymer polyethylene which is halogen free.
All plugs are Rhodium plated for conductivity and corrosion prevention and with RoHS compliance.
Available with the option of a straight line 5 pin din connector or phono to phono configuration. Optional 1.0 or 1.2m length`s and complete with the essential earth wire.
Available to order is our own Pure Silver Litz audio lead. Although this is our preferred choice we have to mention that this is an unscreened cable which in the right system can sound quite superb. In a few cases the lack of screening can mean an earth hum is present and in these cases the Oyaide is the best choice.
