SME Series M2

This stylish range of tone arms replaces the now out of production Series II and R type arms. It has a damped stainless steel straight tube with a new detachable magnesium headshell. Tight tolerance ball race bearings replace the old style knife edge horizontal bearings, and of course the famous impeccably SME finish.

 

Available in 9 -10"-12" models.

 

Recently introduced is the Series II-12R replacement called the M2-12R pictured below. It features the traditional `J` shape tonearm with its matching S2-R headshell. Thumbwheel VTA height adjustment (a 1st for SME). The ability to balance 38g cartridges (46g with plug in heads) via its two stage tungsten balance weight assembly and a 5g VTF in 0.5g increments.

 

 

 

All new SME tone arms can be fitted with either Series V Silver internal wiring or "top of the range" MCS150 for much improved performance. One of our Silver litz audio leads will also substantially enhance sound quality.
